Such a dissapointing conference, Nintendo have so many conferences at their disposal, and yet, they announce 3 Mario games, a Luigi game and a theme park title of which features Mario and Luigi themed stages.
Where was HD Zelda? Metroid? Smash Bros? Star Fox?
Seriously, I had high expectations following their announcement that it would exhibit 23 games...
No, actually Microsoft proclaimed to be the best selling console in the United States last year, and stated that this year they wanted to progress into the Worldwide Best Selling.
As someone who's been an obsessive player/collector of the franchise since day one, in all honesty I was initially skeptical regarding Gears of War Judgment, but thankfully Epic have delivered a fantastic, unique and immensely exciting evolution of the Horde mode in which they created, even further distancing themselves from those who insist on copying their survival mode concepts. Stunning stuff Epic, keep it up!
Same here, the game didn't have the epic scale of God of War 3 either and the gameplay, due to it's lack of scale in comparison, felt uninspiring...
Thankfully, The Last of Us looked absolutely stunning.
Absolutely phenomenal. I can't wait for "The Last of Us" to release, the art design, the acting, the animations, it is a truly stunning wondrous piece of media. And to think, we've not even scratched the surface of this title, we're yet to witness gameplay of the infected yet already we can see the immersive chemistry between Joel and Ellie, the savageness of the combat, the fluidity of the animations. I was blown away, easily one of the highlights of E3 2012 so far, man...
Stole the show, an absolutely magnificent presentation that exhibited massive potential innovation. I can't wait to see more.
Stole the show for me personally and seeing a few of the options available of which weren't utilised within the demo (Controling vehicles for example) if this games lives up to the scale of which was portrayed within that demo, we could be about to witness one crazily innovative game. I can't wait to see how players experiences connect seamlessly... Seriously hyped.
Whilst "Watch Dogs" stole the show for me personally, I thought "Assassins Creed 3" exhibited some stunning animations and what looks to be a phenomenal game. I eagerly anticipate it's release, and as someone who has been disappointed with the franchises direction over the last few years (Annual Releases) that says slot about how magnificent that presentation was.
I can't wait, but, being someone who's been with the franchise since day one, I was disappointed to only receive such a short trailer considering the fact Game Informer where previewed a polished Campaign mission and 8 hours of the new OverRun mode and of course the fact that I've been waiting days for the trailer. Regardless, bring on more reveals and more importantly more news on Gears of War Judgment.
The leap from the Wii is incredibly intriguing, Nintendo have made a lot of adjustments and changes since the initial announcement last year in response to comments and reactions from the gaming community and have returned with what looks like a more gamer targeted console, whilst still catering to the casual Market established through the Wii.
No Epic are developing the game, People Can Fly are assisting primarily with the campaign.
I went to see it on Friday, it's a great film, just don't enter into watching it with too high expectations, it's not a masterpiece like many expect it to be, but it's a great movie. Hopefully E3 can meet expectations.
Don't believe Patcher, every year on Bonus Round he guesses incorrectly, if I'm not mistaken he claimed Microsoft where going to reveal the NextBox...
The new control scheme is confirmed as being optional...
@ Sockey
You mustn't visit the forums often then, we (the Gears cummunity) are incredibly apprehensive.
Black Op's Crossbow over the Torque Bow? Really?!
The problems you listed where due to negative utilisation of the engine by the developers, not the engine itself.
Gears of War: Judgment
Halo 4
Last of Us
Rainbow Six Patriots
Crysis 3
In my opinion, my most anticipated E3 titles...
From two trailers? Neither of which feature gameplay, please, I have confidence in Naughty Dog to create a stunning game but please, don't overhype the title before it's even been demonstrated...
Why aren't the webs attaching to buildings?
Throughout the conference I was pondering, "What could they conclude the Show with? HD Zelda? Metroid? Smash Bros?"
Such a disappointing conclusion to a mediocre conference...
